Welcome....
to my website. I am a London based artist who enjoys working in a range of media. Process and materials are at the heart of my practice. I am intrigued to discover their affordances for myself and then apply them to express my ideas. This process based learning is often what feeds my creativity and inspires me with new ideas for making work. In tandem with this and in keeping with the tradition of Arte Povera I believe anything can be an art material, and my work often incorporates the use of scrap materials and discarded objects. I find things, I find objects, I find things in objects.
There are many artists whose work I admire and find inspiration in. Some of my particular influences include: Cornelia Parker, Louise Bourgeois, Rachel Whiteread, Doris Salcedo, Tony Cragg, Yayoi Kusama, Mark Dion and Joseph Cornell.
I collect, I sort, I sift and arrange. I draw, I paint, I cast and record. I look, I find, I notice and point out. I suspend, I hang and I place. I try to decide upon a position whilst remaining mindful there are other perspectives.
